This Site is RKBA Friendly!

At one time, this "RKBA" stuff might have been Greek, Egyptian, or even Morse code to us.  :>)

RKBA, as used here and elsewhere, refers to our Right to Keep and Bear Arms as granted by God Almighty, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, and as recognized in the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Sandra and I first thought the issue was whether or not firearms had a place in our society or even in our personal lives.  And we differed.

As we worked through our differing emotional responses we realized that we both were intending to protect our lives and, sometimes, property and the lives of our offspring and other loved ones.

Our parents taught us with clear actions.  I clearly remember an incident when I was about three years old.  We lived in Three Rivers, Texas in a rented house in town.  Well inside the town's limits.

I was playing in my sand box as usual when my mother, watching from the kitchen window, began hollerin' and screamin' and running my direction.

I couldn't figure out what was wrong, much less why she was carrying that big ol' shovel over her head.  She ran up, grabbed me by the arm & threw me out of my safe, comfortable sandbox.  You could say I was a "might" upset with her and let her know it.

Ignoring my complaints, she crossed to the far side of the sandbox and pounded a rattle snake into the next county.

Ever after, I knew she loved me enough to apply violence on my behalf.

Ever since, there was never a doubt in my mind that my mother and father loved me.  My parents possessed a protective, yes, even violent love for me.  The violence was never expressed towards me.  Its expression was only to that which endangered me.
